Me

ABOUT ME:
My name is David Biaza. I was born on November 17th, 1969 in Key West, Florida. I graduated from Key West High School in 1989. I got hooked on drugs shortly after and found myself in and out of jail. Between the years of 1989 and 1998, I spent about 7 of those years in the county jail or state prison. My father died in 1998 while I was serving time for stealing from him. It was the most painful time of my life. I really loved him with all my heart, but I did whatever it took to get drugs. I moved to Seveirville, Tennesse in 1998 to be with a girl I really liked and to also change locations as I couldn't stay clean in Key West. I spent about 1 year up there.

I moved to Lake City with my mother Beverly Biaza. She tried with all her power to help me stay clean. She bought me a trailor, a car and helped furnish my home with some of the money my father left her. I tried to stay clean, but could not. I sold all my furniture and electrical appliances. The last straw was when I loaned a drug dealer the car for two hours. He never returned with the car. My mother put me out and I ended up in a homeless shelter called the Candlestick house. I was going to church and thought maybe that would help me, but I eventually used again. I started living at a hotel by the week and working at a day labor place. One night I took money from a co-worker after he had let me stay the night and fed me. I felt so guilty that I went to a christian place and they gave me a bus ticket to Gainesville, Florida.

I spent 4 months in a homeless shelter in Gainesville, and my Councelor talked me into going to college. I always thought that you had to be either very smart or have lots of money to go to college. I was wrong. I became disabled around the same time with multiple blood clots in my right leg. Vocational Rehab helped pay for school. After contimplating majors, I decided to try Information Technology. I attended Santa Fe Community College. I had a 4.0 GPA in my first two years of college. I did have to take some remedial classes, but I was doing well. I became a member of Phi Thatta Kappa, the only honor society for Community Colleges in the US. I made the Dean's list for the year 2001-2002. Going into my last semester in 2003 with a 3.93 GPA, I relapsed again and never withdrew from classes. I recieved 5 F's. My GPA went down to 3.42.

I moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi in May of 2003. I got clean on December 18th 2003. I went to detox and completed a 30 day program at Warren Yazoo in Vicksburg, MS. I currently attend the University of Phoenix Online. I am about a year away from a BA in Information Technology.

REASON FOR THIS SITE:
The main reason I added this site was so that others could get to know about me and my life. Another reason was for future employers to know me and see my work history and college history. On the bottom of each page you will see my quote of my life, don't wear a mask, be yourself. So many times people try and wear a mask or be someone else when I believe you will never get any where in life always trying to fit in. If people don't like you than they don't like you. Why try and be someone you are not. God created us all to be who we are. Now that is not to say that one should not change things if they are hindering them. No one is perfect and we can all find something in life to improve on one day at a time. That's the beauty of it all. Living your life each day trying to improve your own being.

What's New?
I am going back to finish what I started. I start back at the University of Phoenix Online on April 15th. I also started my own blog at http://adultfriendfinder.com/blog/grasshopper230/.

I started working at the best restaurant in Vicksburg a couple of weeks ago. I am making around 500 per weeks in tips. I am a waiter. It is a great new job. I am still single and looking for that special someone.

3/1/06 - Added new photos to Vacation Album page.
